Once Channing and I went to
a retrospective of Norman McLaren animations, which are clearly more akin to experimental film than to fun kids’ cartoons. But some parents dragged their kids to this animation screening and then yelled at them afterward for not enjoying it enough. And then they gave us all free ice cream even though it was like 40 degrees outside.
